Purpose

We are Auckland Amateur Radio Club, which is Branch 02 of the NZART, with the callsign ZL1AA.

We are a friendly bunch of people who are interested in all things radio, ranging from carrying HF rigs up mountains through to crafting microwave equipment.

If you have an interest in ham or amateur radio, we'd love for you to join us.

On Air

We keep the frequency bands busy. Here are a few of the on-air activities we get up to.

Remote-controllable Club HF Station

Club members can enjoy the use of a high-end HF radio at the club house, or remotely control the station via the internet.

Weekly 2m Net

We have a weekly net on the Musick Point 2m repeater on 145.775 MHz. Net control will use the callsign ZL1AA. Check the club calendar for the schedule.

On-site 70cm Repeater

Get up and close with a live repeater. The club house is host to a 70cm repeater. Access it on 435.575 MHz.

Online

Away from the radio? No problem, we use the internet too. Slack is a website and app where members can chat and share content with each other. Our meetings are hybrid and can be attended via Jitsi.
